June 10-14, 2024 at Clyde Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville, Tennessee. Hamilton County youth who have completed grades 4th, 5th, or 6th can attend 4-H Junior Camp at Clyde Austin 4-H Center in the Tennessee mountains, in Greeneville, TN. Cost is $360, which includes transportation, food, lodging and activities, and is payable online at https://tiny.utk.edu/4HJrCamp.
Activities at 4-H Junior Camp include arts and crafts, swimming in an Olympic-size pool with a water slide (swimming lessons are available; lifeguards are on duty), fishing, kayaking and canoeing, airbrushing or tie-dyeing shirts, nature walks, zipline, woodworking, wildlife, archery range and rifle range (with supervision and instruction by certified instructors), Gaga ball, and robotics and drones activities. The lodges, dining hall, and recreation hall are modern, air-conditioned facilities, and homecooked meals are served.
Payment for camp is by cash, money order or check (payable to “University of Tennessee”) or by credit card. Registration is open through May 15 (or until full – space is limited). Credit card payments may be made in person at the Extension Office, or pay for camp online with a credit card at https://tiny.utk.edu/4HJrCamp.
Scholarships are available. Note that first-time campers are given priority for scholarships. Download scholarship form.
To register for camp:
- Download the registration forms (or contact the Extension office to have them mailed to you – 423-209-8560)
- Turn in completed registration forms (by mail or in person at the Extension Office) and pay the camp fee (online, by mail, or in person by check, credit card, or [in person only] with cash) to the Extension Office by the May 15 deadline
