May 25 – May 29, 2026 at Clyde York 4-H Center in Crossville, TN. Registration deadline is May 8. Youth in grades 5th through 9th (as of 1/1/26) can attend a camp dedicated to shooting sports, the 4-H Target SMART camp. The cost for the camp is $385 which includes the camper’s room, meals, activities, as well as ammo and target cost. Firearms and archery equipment are provided, so no need to bring your own. Just come enjoy a week full of shooting sports and also free time to spend in the camp’s Olympic-size swimming pool, at the camp’s wildlife center, or canoeing at the lake (among other activities).
Campers will get to experience all disciplines through a rotation of Shotgun, Muzzle Loader, Archery, and Rifle stations throughout the week. Also, we plan to try to incorporate some evening hunting skill as well.
To register for 4-H Target SMART camp:
- Download the 4-H Target SMART brochure and complete the registration form included in the brochure OR email the following information to HamiltonCounty4H@tennessee.edu – Grade, School, Teacher, First and Last Name of youth, Address, Phone, Email address.
- Complete the 4-H Activity and Event Acceptance Form (600A)
- The completed registration form and the completed 600A are due to the UT-TSU Extension Hamilton County office by May 8, 2026, along with payment of $385 payable by check (to University of Tennessee), credit card, or cash in the office.
