Animal Science Extension is engaged in a broad range of activities in agriculture involving horse, sheep, beef, poultry, and livestock educational program initiatives. The educational programs and activities associated with the shows are carried out by the UT Extension and community volunteers.

Beef, Sheep, Horse, and Livestock judging activities are the most popular in the state. These shows provide opportunities for 4-H and FFA members to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have learned by participating in the 4-H Livestock Projects.
